She expressed confidence that cities like Kazan, Moscow, and St. Petersburg have the necessary infrastructure and capabilities to organize the event swiftly. Zhurova highlighted Russia's track record of successfully hosting major sporting events, such as the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where safety of the fans was a top priority. She also mentioned that during the pandemic, Russia was able to quickly adapt and relocate football competitions. According to Zhurova, Russia already possesses world-class sports facilities, eliminating the need for extensive construction and significant resources. She emphasized that Russia is ready to host the Olympics, but only if allowed to participate with their national anthem and flag.
