Moscow's textile industry enterprises manufacture more than 35,000 clothing items daily, announced Anatoly Garbuzov, the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. The capital currently houses over 340 light industry productions, with 135 of them specializing in clothing.
These enterprises employ around 4,000 people who contribute to the production of various wardrobe items such as suits, jackets, coats, shorts, jumpsuits, dresses, t-shirts, and more.
Garbuzov highlighted that Moscow provides crisis management tools for the development of these productions, including both financial and non-financial mechanisms. In addition, the city's furniture production saw a 22.5% increase from January to May 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.
