The Politechnicheskiy Museum has presented an exhibition of precious clocks, including those belonging to the Russian Imperial Family, in Moscow.

A new exhibition called "Forms of Time" has opened at the Gallery on Elokhovskaya, showcasing a collection of unique and historically significant clocks. The exhibition, organized by the Politechnicheskiy Museum and the Gallery, features over 50 rare and valuable timepieces, including those belonging to the Russian Imperial Family.

The exhibition showcases a wide range of clocks, from sand clocks to pocket watches, from solar to gold pocket watches. Each clock is not only a timekeeping device but also a work of art, with different materials and craftsmanship. One highlight of the exhibition is the collection of wooden pocket watches made by the Bronnikov family, who were renowned masters in the Vyatka region in the 19th century. These wooden clocks, made without any metal parts, demonstrate the creative use of wood in watchmaking.

The exhibition also includes clocks from the Soviet era, including those used by polar explorers and unique medical watches designed for the visually impaired. These watches reflect the historical events and achievements of the time, with images of famous figures and symbols on their dials. There are even watches that have been to space and tested in zero gravity.

The exhibition aims to showcase the unique collection of the Politechnicheskiy Museum and promote collaboration between museums and contemporary artists. The Gallery plans to continue partnering with the museum on future projects.

The exhibition "Forms of Time" will be on display until the end of the year at the Gallery on Elokhovskaya.
