The Construction Legal Forum - 2024, the main legal event of the year in the construction industry, took place on October 3, 2024. The event, held at the International Multimedia Press Center of the Russia Today Media Group, showcased a diverse range of perspectives on construction through the lens of law, management, business, and government regulation of the economy.

The forum brought together more than 300 delegates, including representatives from the State Duma, the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, leading Russian developers, corporate lawyers, and construction law experts.

Over 50 speakers took part in the forum, including Sergey Pakhomov, Chairman of the Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the State Duma, Oleg Speransky, Director of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Construction of Russia, Mark Geller, Chairman of the Committee on Construction at OPORA Russia, Alexey Nidens, Deputy CEO of DOM.RF, and Vladimir Ivanov, Managing Partner of the Spectrum Group of Companies, among others. These authoritative experts shared their opinions on current issues in the construction industry.

The forum provided an in-depth analysis of the state of the construction industry and its prospects for development. The business program covered specific topics such as the latest practices in legal management, the resolution of complex construction disputes, the structuring of construction contracts, investment project management, and the legal risks and peculiarities of bankruptcy in construction companies.

Sergey Pakhomov emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to the development of integrated urban planning. He highlighted the importance of creating social infrastructure, such as kindergartens, schools, and roads, as well as commercial areas that provide real job opportunities. He also discussed important legislative initiatives aimed at increasing the responsibility of self-regulatory organizations (SROs) for the activities of their members.

The forum also featured the official presentation of the Union of Lawyers in Construction and Housing and Utilities, which was established in August 2024. The Union aims to consolidate the legal community, improve legal regulation, and ensure sustainable development of legislation in the construction industry.

The organizers believe that the forum's platform should become the core of an expert community capable of generating new opportunities for the industry. The forum's organizing committee sees its role as creating an effective public platform for exchanging experience and opinions, discussing advanced ideas, innovations, and legislative initiatives that will drive the development of both the industry and the economy as a whole.

The Construction Legal Forum - 2024 once again demonstrated the high level of discussions and confirmed its significance as one of the key platforms for legal professionals in the construction industry.
