On Vorobyovskaya Embankment in Moscow, the passenger pier "Setun" has been repaired. The Deputy Mayor for Housing and Utilities and Improvement, Peter Biryukov, made the announcement. He stated that the major overhaul of the pier, which was built in 1960, had not been carried out since its commissioning.
During the recent repair works, the staircases and handrails, walls, lower platform of the pier were renovated, and new railings, mooring and fender devices were installed. The underwater part of the pier was also brought into order.
It was also reported that pedestrian zones would be created near the "Kutuzovsky" and "City-Bagration" regular river transport piers in Moscow.
