The leading meteorologist from the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Marina Makarova, stated in an interview that according to the forecast, August 19 will be the hottest day of the month in Moscow.
"The weather in Moscow will be warm, and according to the forecast, on Monday, today, after noon, it will be around +27...+29 °C, and we have not had such a hot day in August yet. I'm referring to this summer in August," explained the expert.
According to her forecast, on Tuesday, August 20, a cold atmospheric front is expected to pass through.
"In the area of this front, there will be scattered showers at night, locally heavy in some areas, and possibly thunderstorms. The night will be very warm. In Moscow, it will be around +18...+20°C, and in the surrounding region, it will range from +15 to +20°C. On Wednesday, there will be variable cloudiness, mainly without any precipitation during the day. At night in Moscow, it will be around +12...+14°C, in the city center +15...+17°C, and in the region, it will range from +9 to +14°C," the specialist explained.
According to her, on Thursday, August 22, there will be variable cloudiness, primarily without any precipitation.
"So, the weather conditions will be similar to Wednesday. The same temperature indicators, primarily without any precipitation. However, on Friday, we expect the passage of another atmospheric front, a slight rainfall, and the nighttime temperature will be around +11...+16°C, while during the day it will be around +20...+25°C... And on August 24, Saturday, the night will be cooler around +8...+13°C, and during the day it will be around +20...+25°C," concluded Makarova.
