The oldest fountain in Moscow, installed in 1835, has undergone renovations to update its technology and prepare it for the upcoming season.

In Moscow, the oldest fountain in the city, created by sculptor Giovanni Vitali in 1835, has recently been renovated. Originally used to supply water to the city's residents, it has now become a decorative element of the current Theater Square. The Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Petr Biryukov, described the renovation process, stating that the work was carried out after the end of the fountain season. The need for repairs arose from the equipment's end of service life.

"During the renovation, the fountain's technological components were completely updated, including control panels, engineering equipment, and water filling systems," said Petr Biryukov. "In the spring, when the temperatures rise, we will replace the underwater lighting fixtures."

It is worth noting that the fountains in Moscow are prepared for the new season during the winter months.
